The teaching is based on world-leading research undertaken in the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences, which the programme brings together to provide the skills and understandings that contemporary planners need.
Dubai is the ideal place to study Urban Planning given its proposed expansion under the Dubai 2040 Urban Masterplan – the key challenges that realising such growth in a sustainable manner are explored in-depth in the programme.
Brings together planning, critical urban studies, environmental science and environmental health to create a programme that confronts the major challenges that rapidly expanding urban areas must confront both now and in the future.
The programme will graduate contemporary planners who will be able to be articulate complex environmental urban problems to a broad range of end-users as well as being able to plan for their mediation
